4-day Clown workshop with David Melendy<\/a> from Compagnie Les Diptik<\/p>\n

July 22nd-25th 2024, 9:00 – 12:00, 13:00-16:00.<\/p>\n

During these 4 days, we will exploring the style of theatrical clown practiced by duo Les Diptik, and techniques and methods they use when starting to create new material.<\/p>\n

The work will be focused on the exploration the a \u201cstate of clown\u201d, and centered around exercises, improvisation, and play. The work is very centered around the body and movement. We will play with creating characters and clowns, being someone new and being yourself. You are encouraged to come ready to become many different \u201cclowns\u201d, working on specifc numbers or \u201cclowns\/characters\u201d is not the goal of this workshop.<\/p>\n

Working language will depend on the composition of the group, participants should be comfortable with either English, French, German or Italian, or be comfortable not understanding the working language.<\/p>\n

\nThis workshop is for adults.
\nParticipants do not need to have any prior experience working with clown, however a minimum of performing experience is requested (theater, dance, circus, other…)<\/p>\n

This workshop is \u201cchoose your own price\u201d. That means that you can choose to pay CHF4.50, you can choose to pay 4\u2019500.-, or you can choose something else, and it will be accepted.<\/p>\n

  • The total hours I spend for preparation, administration, organization, and teaching are equivilant to about 6 days of full time work.<\/li>\n
  • I do not have children or other dependents<\/li>\n
  • There will be between 7-12 participants in the workshop<\/li>\n
  • I have over 10 years of professional experience performing and teaching<\/li>\n
  • Using the LaboTheatre will not cost me extra rental fees, as my\u00a0 company Les Diptik are members of the association, I can use the space for free.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
